The Quality Manager is responsible for the supervision of the production process to make sure all products meet company quality standards. Duties includes developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages, and writing reports documenting production issues. A thorough understanding of ISO 9001 principles is required for this position, as the Quality Manager will also be responsible for the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) for the A4S Recycling and Manufacturing Plant.

The Quality Manger must be highly observant, have ability to make good decisions and judgements regarding product evaluations, and always maintain the highest of ethical standards. Must have good communication skills with experience on direct client interaction. The Quality Manager must have the ability to work in a team environment and is a strong leader who can motivate and train the team with relevant feedback and suggestions. The Quality Manager will report directly to the Plant General Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure personnel safety and champion EHSQ compliance throughout the organization
  • Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
  • Train and manage production personnel in production practices and quality assessment of goods
  • Track products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct
  • Analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems, find inaccuracies and pose solutions
  • Perform detailed and recorded inspections of final products to ensure products meet industry and company standards
  • Eliminate products not meeting standards and finding reasons for product problems

Basic Qualifications

  • Highly observant and detail oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree (natural sciences, business management, industrial science, or statistics)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in production/manufacturing & assembly line processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and quality management software
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings, and status updates
  • Well skilled in quality processes and statistical techniques
  • Knowledge of measurement and test equipment
  • Possess interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Master’s degree (natural sciences, business management, industrial science, or statistics)
  • 5-10 years’ Quality Management experience
